Fort Lauderdale Based, Licensed Statewide

We are on the other coast, licensed in the state of Florida, and we work here on scheduled projects.

A local builder is nearby and we are not

A Naples builder can call in on a Tuesday afternoon to look at something. We cannot. On a project where the client wants that kind of availability, a local firm serves them better, and pretending otherwise sets up a disappointment.

There is also a practical staffing point. Working at distance means a superintendent living on the project rather than managing it between other jobs nearby, which is a different arrangement from a local firm running several sites in the same town. On a substantial project that is frequently an advantage.

What working at distance means

  • Scheduled visits rather than dropping in.
  • Thorough surveys, because return trips are costly.
  • Proactive communication instead of proximity.
  • A superintendent on site rather than nearby management.
  • Honesty about what we can and cannot offer.

What to ask any builder at distance

Who will be on site daily, whether they are dedicated to this project, where they are based during the work, and how often the principals visit. Those answers matter more than the office address.

A firm three hours away with a dedicated superintendent living locally is a better arrangement than a nearby firm running your project between four others. Ask the question rather than assuming proximity answers it.

How we handle it

  1. 01Provide site supervision rather than remote management.
  2. 02Communicate proactively and on a schedule.
  3. 03Handle local permitting and architectural review properly.
  4. 04Say plainly when a local builder is the better choice.

For a small renovation or a project where you want the builder available at short notice, a Naples firm will serve you better. We are worth talking to on a substantial project where the improvement rule, the elevation and the specification are the difficult part.

Said plainly

Where we stop

We will decline work we cannot do well from here. A small project needing frequent informal attention at this distance is not something anybody should be selling.
